Big, Less Fat Loser

I'm the biggest, now lighter, loser. I've lost thirty pounds low carb dieting and jogging since January, only 24 more to go... It was so motivating. I didn't realize how competitive I am. It's been much harder to keep at it without the pressure and accountability of the weigh ins. Patrick has lost even more weight. He's doing so well and looks great. I hope we can keep the weght off this time. I won $190 which we spent on bills.

One
Lots of children coming to play,
Lots of fun and presents galore
Family and friends here to watch me crawl across the floor. I was an infant not long ago.
Now one candle is aglow
Now one candle is aglow
I am growing up so fast.
.How quickly a year has passed.
Just twelve short months ago I made my big debut
So now I’m ready to celebrate with cake and presents too.
Patty cake patty cake Bakers man
Play with my cake. Mommy said I can
A Birthday cake is so much fun
I am really glad that I am one.
It’s my very first birthday, One candle on my cake
My proud parents stand in wonder at every new move I make.
I entered the world
on the 7th of July
Mommy and Daddy were so happy to see me
A year ago, they welcomed me,
a baby of their own.
Nervously and sleepily,
they took me to their home.
Daddy tweaked a tiny curl
In silent pride,
his little girl.
Those first few months
I didn't do much at all.
My parents were told
"Enjoy this time while she is small".
I didn’t have any teeth,
and I didn’t have much hair,
I couldn’t talk at all,
and I couldn’t walk anywhere.
I slept all day long
and stayed up the whole night,
I yelled every time
things didn’t suit me just right:
I had them all running, when I made a fuss.
They give me lots of hugs and kisses,
reassurance when I cry
And when I’m tired and want to sleep,
they walk me and sing a lullabye.
We have rollercoaster mornings,
and rollercoaster nights.
My parents sometimes wake in the darkness,
to make sure that I’m alright...
Each night I curl up in Mommy’s arms to sleep,
She gently kisses my head and cheek
She counts my little fingers and toes;
And memorizes my eyes and nose
Through misty eyes, she turns off the light,
Through misty eyes, she turns off the light,
And whispers, "I love you" every night.
I have a little life to live
I cry sometimes, but they forgive
When I lay down, falling asleep at night.
I call for Mom and Dad with all my might.
I am afraid because the world is so new.
Then come Mom and Dad. They look tired too.
When I lay down, falling asleep at night.
I call for Mom and Dad with all my might.
I am afraid because the world is so new.
Then come Mom and Dad. They look tired too.
The world is new with so much to see.
Each day is another day of learning for me.
Each day is another day of learning for me.
When I tried my first food, Daddy said, “Here comes the train.”
I heard my first storm and saw my first rain.
My mommy would hold me and tell me it’s Ok
She would rock me to sleep at the end of the day.
I heard my first storm and saw my first rain.
My mommy would hold me and tell me it’s Ok
She would rock me to sleep at the end of the day.
Once I discovered I could scoot around by my own might,
It's been non-stop action morning till night.
When I dressed up like a monkey, everyone had to take a look,
Mommy took some Halloween pictures for the baby book.
At 6 months old, my teeth broke through at last,
But if you wanted to see them you would have to be real fast.
At seven months old, I took off crawling across the floor,
When I wanted Timmy’s toys, they couldn’t stop me anymore.
I practiced standing all day and into the night,
and by the end of May I had at last got it right!
I stood up one day, and they were there
And then took a step without a care.
"Bruh Brah " and "Dada" I can now say,
But "Mama" is what you will hear most of the day.
I like it when Mommy bounces me on her knee
It’s so much fun! She gets me giggling with glee.
I like to dance to music. I stand up on my feet.
Bouncing up and down, I keep a steady beat!
I’m learning how to walk and soon I’ll learn to run...
I chew on everything, and climb and have some fun...
I chew on everything, and climb and have some fun...
I never want to rest. I always want to play
I’m a very busy girl. I’m on the go all day...
I’m a very busy girl. I’m on the go all day...
I have ten little fingers, and ten little toes,
With every new day they continue to grow
With every new day they continue to grow
I like wiggling my toes and waving my fingers too
I understand these will come in handy for fingerpaint and glue.
I understand these will come in handy for fingerpaint and glue.
Every day I'm getting big and soon I'll be so tall,
And all my little fingers will be so hard to recall
These little hands will grow to be
big and strong and helpful, you see.
These teeny-tiny little toes
will carry this body that grows and grows.
My family and I will have fun times to share
Like lullabyes and teddy bears
first days of school and skinned knees,
Like lullabyes and teddy bears
first days of school and skinned knees,
bedtime stories and ABC's.
There are things I’ll want to know,
Like how birds fly and flowers grow.
And lessons Daddy will share,
And lessons Daddy will share,
Like standing tall and playing fair.
So many stories to be told
Nursery rhymes and dittys, as my litlle life unfolds.
Babbling or crying,
Mischevious or coy,
I’m Mommy’s little darling
I’m Mommy’s little darling
and Daddy’s Pride and Joy.
As you can see I have had a busy year,
Hard to believe my First Birthday is here!
