Valentine's

Making valentines. Fingerpainting prints. Timmy decided to fingerprint on half of each heart and then fold them in half to make symmetrical patterns for his instead.

Afterschool picnic. Timmy said, "I don't think strawberries and chocolate go together well." Then he proceed to carefully pick off and eat just all of the chocolate off of his strawberry."

The next morning they started playing "wedding" and danced together.

I also noticed what they had done with their stuffed animals from Daddy.

Patrick even sent me flowers from work. I felt so surprised and loved. They really smelled fantastic.

Valentine's

For Valentine's Day, Patrick took me out to eat at Excell Steakhouse. We went the day before Valentine's Day so every restaurant in town wouldn't have hours long waits and also Patrick's parents were in town so we left them the kids. I had a really good steak and discovered I like steak with blue cheese, and the best broccoli and cheese I've ever had. It started snowing outside the window while we were eating. It was very pretty.

We invited some playgroup friends, Ellie, Margret, Rachel and Natalie, over for Valentine crafts and snacks. We had heart shaped strawberry cream cheese sandwiches and fruit and made construction paper hearts with stickers and stamps and heart winged butterflies. It's a whole lot easier for Timmy to go play with someone else's toys at their house, but he did pretty well sharing his toys.

Valentine's Day

Timmy and I made a Valentine for Daddy. I cut out the heart and the doily and let Timmy color, put stickers on it and glue beads and flowers on it. Then Timmy went to Granny and Papa's and Patrick and I drove to Lake Jackson and ate Italian food. I had a fizzy pink Italian cream soda and chocolate cherry cake and couldn't be happier. We were going to go to a movie, but there weren't any out we wanted to see, so we went to Best Buy ( Patrick's favorite store) and looked for a DVD to buy, but couldn't find one we really wanted either. In spite of that, we enjoyed just spending some kid free time alone together. Everything is so much easier.
