Hugh doesn't get left alone much. They're always picking him up, much to my dismay. Lexa's totally in love with him. Will is always trying to play with him.

Speaking of Will's constant attempts to play with Hugh and never leaving him alone, here's what was happening while I was just trying to write that post!

My Boys

I never would have guessed I'd be a mom to three boys one day. Three boys. Three wild and rambunctious, mischievious and silly, busy and super active, boisterous and funny, and so very sweet boys! I think I've got some loud, often tumultous, always bustling, and mostly FUN years to look forward to  as they grow up together in this crazy, loving house of ours.

Timmy and Hugh

Hugh thinks books are best for chewing.
Timmy thinks Hugh is amusing. He sometimes wants to carry him around and off to his room. Hugh can't go in Timmy's room because it's full of legos. Legos are everywhere...

"My Brudder!"

Will is always trying to play with Hugh. This generally ends up with Hugh crying. Will's not so good at sharing his toys, and is also always trying to put things like hats on him, play cave with him by putting a blanket over them both, taking whatever Hugh has because he suddenly wants to play with it himself, trying to pick him up and move him to wherever he's playing, getting his baby food and spoon out and trying to feed him, the list goes on! He certainly is keeping me on my toes. He and Lexa have recently taken to fighting over him too. "He's my brudder!" "No, he's my brother! Let me have him!" Fun times. Will is always calling to him, "Hughby, look at this!", and asking where he is when he doesn't see him. He is very well loved!

Big and Little

Timmy and Hugh find each other amusing.  That seems to be their general take on one another lately.

The Middle Children

Lexa used to say Will was her number 1 best friend. They haven't been getting along as well lately. I think three year olds are hard that way. They still play together every once in a while. They'll play "Will and Lexa's Café" making sand/mud pies, paint pictures together, as long as Will doesn't use her paint because he mixes the colors together. Last night they were playing dress up. Lexa was the queen and was upset with Will because he wanted to be a "Super Villager" instead of the knight or villain Lexa wanted him to be. She then tried to banish him to prison which didn't go over well.

Sometimes she calls him "Cutie Pie".

Lexa loves hanging from the trapeze. She calls me over to watch her do flips She can do them forwards and backwards and flip herself up to sitting on it. She is very careful to make sure I keep watching her.

Timmy and Lexa

My big kids. They're off at school so much now, making friends, doing great, getting so big. I love the moments they talk and play together. That's about as often as they fight with each other.

Bluebonnets

There was a field of bluebonnets and Indian paintrbrushes right near our house. The kids really enjoyed exploring it.

Lexa and Will

She always asks if Will smiled when we came to pick her up from preschool. My answer is always, "Of course."
