Spring is here!

I'm in love with spring at our new house in the country. It's so nice to see everything turning green and find out what has flowers! There's birds chirping all day all around. We've put up some bird feeders that the cardinals love. Sometimes butterflies flutter around everywhere too.
It's so pretty. The kids keep picking wildflowers and enjoying the nice morning weather playing outside.
Lexa was excited o find some blue bonnets. They're mostly done now though.
There's lantana blooming here and there.

This is the butterflies favorite spot.

The Middle Children

Lexa used to say Will was her number 1 best friend. They haven't been getting along as well lately. I think three year olds are hard that way. They still play together every once in a while. They'll play "Will and Lexa's CafĂ©" making sand/mud pies, paint pictures together, as long as Will doesn't use her paint because he mixes the colors together. Last night they were playing dress up. Lexa was the queen and was upset with Will because he wanted to be a "Super Villager" instead of the knight or villain Lexa wanted him to be. She then tried to banish him to prison which didn't go over well.
Sometimes she calls him "Cutie Pie".

Lexa loves hanging from the trapeze. She calls me over to watch her do flips She can do them forwards and backwards and flip herself up to sitting on it. She is very careful to make sure I keep watching her.

Swing and Swing and Swing

Pretty much anytime we're outside, Will asks me to push him on the swing. He's always loved to swing and swing and swing.

We've been enjoying the spring weather. Yellow wildflowers all around, birds chirping, butterflies, and a happy boy flying through the air on his swing hanging from the big mesquite tree. I love these pictures of him.

Bluebonnets

There was a field of bluebonnets and Indian paintrbrushes right near our house. The kids really enjoyed exploring it.

Don't eat the flowers.

Flower Pounding with Grandmom

Flower pounding craft with Grandmom to make prints on fabric. It's so neat that Grandmom gets to share her creativity with the kids. Lexa really loved this.
