We've been busy lately, going to playgroups, the children's museum, story time at the library and music makers class. Timmy loves being around other kids, singing, playing and dancing.

Upside down, in a box

He likes making up words and names for things lately, and is always pretending. We pretend to be animals, cars, spaceships, underdog, Clifford and curious George. This morning Timmy was a green dog, I was a big blue dog, and Lexa was a pink dog. Sometimes he likes to pretend that he is scared and have me hold him, or he'll say that there's a monster in a cave and we need to give it a popsicle or a lollipop. Sara said she saw him squat down under the table like he was going to the bathroom in his diaper and say "Timmy is a bear pooping in the woods."
A Visit from Auntie Sara
Aunt Sara came to visit and help out last week. Timmy had a great day with her. They did some finger painting, lots of story reading, red wagon riding, and sand castle building. Timmy wore her out! She got here just in time because I was getting sick with a yucky stomach bug and really needed some help with kiddos. She was so much help. Lexa gave her big smiles.
Timmy really loved the finger painting. I think he said he painted whiskers on his cheeks to be a Tiger. After he finished this he took a very long bath.Friday, October 30, 2009
Pumpkin Patch
We went to a pumpkin patch and picked out a pumpkin back in October. We had some pictures taken and only just got around to getting them back.

Timmy's First Aggie Football Game
Patrick wanted to take Timmy to his first A&M football game last weekend. They played Baylor, and A&M won. There was also a record breaking 97 yard touchdown run. Timmy was excited about going to see Reveille. He got to see her on the Jumbo tron at the game. They walked around campus, watched the band march in, and Timmy waved his twelfth man towel. During the end of the third quarter, he asked for me and Lexa. I was surprised and happy to hear that he missed Lexa too.
Patrick also took Timmy to the park last weekend. Patrick said he played around by himself kind of lazily until another little boy came, and that Timmy happily ran up to the boy, hugged him, and exclaimed that the boy was here to play with him. He was disappointed that Kaykay, a girl from playgroup, wasn't at the playground today. He kept asking where she was, saying she was lost. He calls all girls either Kaykay or Emmalin and all pictures of himself as a baby, Lexa.
Timmy gets scared sometimes now. Patrick said that Timmy was scared of a stick covered in moss on the way to the park. Timmy said it was a big worm that was going to bite him, and tiptoed the rest of the way to the playground. He's also scared of certain loud noises sometimes. I think he's scared of the dark if he wakes up alone, and sometimes he's scared of monsters, although he usually calms himself down and says they just want a Popsicle or a lollipop.
