2011 Midsummer Night's Eve
This year we've been celebrating more holidays. Patrick thinks I'm insane, but Timmy really loves it. We started with Groundhog Day and Chinese New Year. On the summer solstice, we celebrated Midsummer Night's Eve. Lexa wore fairy wings, we decorated the table with nature items we found, we made little houses for fairies, and we had a beautiful picnic with twinkle lights. Sara made us some delicious creamy lasagna with swiss chard and white wine. We tried to ignore the fact that we were sweating as we ate..

2011 Father's Day
I took pictures of the kids dressed in Daddy's clothes and put them in a frame for Father's Day. Timmy is casual daddy, and Lexa is dressed up Daddy.
(Timmy likes to make weird faces now as soon as you try to take a picture of him. This is the best I got of him before he said, "Okay, we're done taking pictures now.")

2011 Anniversary Trip!
For our anniversary, Patrick surprised me with a trip to the Frio River. We stayed in a cabin for three nights by ourselves, without any kids. It was beautiful and quiet. We swam, hiked around Lost Maples and played board games. It was very relaxing and fun to spend time together, although we couldn't help thinking how much the kids would have enjoyed the trip too.

FEBRUARY 14
AMCMS 8th Grade Boys Silver team beat Brenham last night 52-17, and Maroon followed it up with a 76-55 win over Brenham....great way to end our season!
March 2010Getting spring/summer clothes out from under the bed and packing up sweaters and jackets. Yay, I'm so ready for sun dresses and flip flops.
Timothy smelled the flowers(not real) on a lady's flip flops at the park today.
We were leaving gymnastics this morning, and Timmy said to his teacher, "Goodbye, Good night, Merry Christmas!"

Glad this week is finally over...I'm exhausted - for some reason I couldn't get more than about 5 hours of sleep each night...I came home this afternoon and passed out for 4 hours...I guess we'll soon see if I can get back to sleep...And I got sun(or wind) burned at the track meet, but we won and almost all my throwers and hurdlers placed - broke some school records too...
- Got through helping with athlete physicals Saturday morning, came home did gardening...getting up later to build more raised beds and plant more stuff...woohoo...
- Gaming night!!! Michael Haferkamp, Robert Watson, Patrick Peabody, Curtis and JJ get ready for some awesomeness. I'm gonna take a nap so I don't wimp out again when it gets late!

Finished moving grass, set up pool for Timmy, installed misting system on patio, finished flower beds for Cathy...still more vegetable beds to build and the GRE tomorrow...maybe I should study...

Timmy told me he thinks bugs are pretty today.
Really enjoying spring this year. We went for a hike this morning. Timmy chased butterflies and watched a bird building a nest, going to spend the afternoon in the backyard and work in the garden.
Both of our children have fallen asleep in their chairs at the dinner table. I guess we're eating a little bit later than usual..

Timothy loves rhyming lately. He just told Lexa that she's a pretty kitty.
Lexa is playing fetch with Timmy. He throws the tennis ball, and she retrieves it, sqeeling with delight the whole time.
Cuddling on the couch with my sweet baby girl. She's finally slowing down, So tired.
Well, it looks like Lexa has started contributing her share to Timmy's daily ransacking of our house...
I was just thinking, isn't Timmy doing so well using the potty by himself, except for the putting his pants back on part. I should have known it was too quiet. He was putting an entire roll of tp into the toilet. It was at least ten minutes before I noticed the river coming into the room. Spent the day sopping and mopping, found an entire couch full of toys underneath the couches. Patrick's worried about the TV.
Two weddings, three birthdays, a trips to both sets of parents, we're finally settling in back at home, except that the AC isn't keeping up in the afternoon and Patrick is constantly working on grad school work.

planted lettuce, cauliflower and broccoli in the garden while the children covered themselves and filled buckets with dirt, and finally finished uploading 9 months of pictures. I'm going start to catch up on the family blog soon... still stuck back at Christmas on that.

Timmy's loving preschool. This morning he was trying to get me to hurry up and get going.
Trying potty training...again. It's exhausting following him watching him every minute. We also need to clean the house because the in laws are coming... again, and our dishwasher isn't draining...again
Potty Training Day Two went GREAT! Patrick stepped in yesterday taking away toys when he was peeing everywhere while grinning at us. Only two accidents this morning and the rest of the day the naked boy has been running off the the bathroom all by himself. He'll do anything for a cookie, apparently. Yay!
