Peekaboo, Will!

Little Flirt

Will will look at you and grin, hide his face, then peek back and smile at you, then hide it again, smile at you again. What a flirt!

12 month Will

12 months in and we have a joyful, toddling, curious, busy, tickly, giggly climber on our hands.  :-)

His smiles are so gigantic that they fill up his whole face. It's pretty adorable.
I have a feeling I may say this every month of his life… but this is my favorite age so far.  Hee hee.

Sand Angels

Welcome to our crazy home

It's not all put away and organized, never all clean at the same time. It's like this constantly in motion, changing, active house. Things don't stay in place long. It's usually loud. Filled with loud voices, laughing, screaming, crying, playing. I sort of had a lightbulb moment a few weeks ago which  has really made me change my expectations and handle the chaos better. I realized that with three young children, most people's crazy is our normal. The other thing is that someone is going to need something pretty much all the time. If I'm ready for that and expect that state of crazy and being ready for it all when I wake up in the morning, I'm better able to handle it without getting upset or overwhelmed. I remind myself throughout the day that our normal is going to be crazy and to expect to be needed all the time.

Wardrobe Disaster

Lexa was very upset when the strap on her dress (handmade by Granmom) tore while she was playing outside in it. I think she was crawling around pretending to be a do on a leash led by Timmy at the time. She was so sad about it that she came over to me and said, " I wish this was a dream."
