We went to one of the local Christmas tree farms the Sunday after Thanksgiving. After walking all over the farm, we concluded that there was only one pine tree left growing, that was over four feet tall. Lexa said that one didn't smell like a Christmas tree, although some shorter, yellowish ones with lots of brown needles were apparently up to her standards. So instead of cutting a tree down ourselves, we picked out one of the cut fir trees they had. We didn't get to cut our own down, but I've really been enjoying the Christmas fir tree smell in our house.
