This is the story Lexa dictated to me yesterday. It's called Princess Ballerina(as usual). " Mommy, Daddy, Timmy, Will and Lexa Ballerina. A sudden a bad guy appeared. It was called Bad Guy. Then a piano playing monster appeared. It was called Timmy. Oh no! The food bacteria appeared. The food started rumbling. It jumped. The food was alive. The sweet tea shook. Then it was fall, and the monster was gone. We were saved. The End."

I guess we have too many kids with the third now(or not enough sleep). I have been frequently calling them by the wrong names(dog and husband included) since Will was born. Patrick says we've moved from man to zone coverage. I'm going to miss him being a coach if he gets an administration job this year.(Just a little though, I'd much rather actually see him more.)

Thinking about my mom, Ginger Holliday, in surgery today to have her nonfunctional kidney removed. It has a cyst/blood clot/tumor. Since they can't rule out tumor, they're going to remove it. Her transplant kidney is still doing great.

Timmy came home from his social skills group with a bucket list for the summer. It says: See dinosaur footprints, make a movie, go to the beach, go swimming, explore a cave, make clay sculptures, make a new species, go to Granny and Papa's, and go to a museum. I told him that all sounds doable except the make a new species one, and he said, " Mommy, we just need to get some DNA from animals and an egg."

We've been married ten years today. A decade, wow! Patrick Peabody is such a wounderful husband and father. I'm so lucky. These ten years we've been through some stuff that make marriages hard: kids, in-laws, having a kid with speacial needs- the diagnosis and the day to day difficult behavior, money troubles, and it seems like we're coming out the other side. Lately I've been noticing how much we still love each other. It feels like when it was new again. I read somewhere here on facebook recently that love is less about choosing the one right person, but loving the person that you chose. I hope that we can be a loving example for our kids through these next ten years.

It was 6 month old size clothes at 6 weeks, my now 4 month old has outgrown his 6-9 month old onesies. I got out the next size up box of Timmy's old clothes, and there were shoes in it. So it's little movers diapers and shoes and he's barely even rolling, definitely not in need of shoes yet.

Patrick officially signed his contract as assistant principal in Elgin today, and our offer on a house there has been accepted. We're excited and happy, but at the same time really sad to be leaving College Station, our friends, and the schools here.

So the Peabody family is in a very celebratory mood this Fourth of July. I signed my contract and filled out my paperwork for my new position as Assistant Principal at Elgin Middle School! We have been driving back and forth to Elgin almost daily to find a place to live and such. We will hopefully close on our new house by the end of the month. Unfortunately we will have only two days when I fly back in from Washington, D.C. on the 29th, to move all of our stuff from College Station to Elgin, and be out of our rental by the 1st.
We will miss all of our friends and my students, while remembering our time in College Station fondly. It is odd thinking that I have lived 13 of my 33 years here in College Station. We will definitely be back to visit regularly. We are all looking forward to this new chapter in our lives.

Timmy added to his Christmas list yesterday.(He started it in August.) To such item asks as a jet pack, a million dollars, the calcium lime remover he saw in a commercial, a ninja suit, a magical blue staff, and rocket shoes, he added a force field that only works against babies, a space ship, live butterflies, fake dragon bones that look, smell, and feel real, a Dalmatian puppy, and a slinky. I tried to get him to focus more on giving, so he made a list of of gifts to give. He wants to give his sister a robotic life sized princess, his Daddy a suit that makes him able to hide from Lexa and a real alligator, a four leaf clover, a broom that sweeps by itself and a never ending sack of chocolate mints from Olive Garden for me, smoke alarms, a hummingbird, and a butterfly making machine for his grandparents, for my sister a fence for her yard, and for his teacher, a remote control that will work on people

Just finished Desolation of Smaug with Timmy. We both liked it.
Enjoyed my day at work with coworkers. Teachers seemed to enjoy their gifts!!! Enjoyed a late lunch at pappadeaux!!! — with Patrick Peabody and 4 others.
