Bluebonnets

We went to the hill country to see the wildflowers and especially the bluebonnets with my family and Sara's friend, Heather. It was quite a bit of riding in the car in one day for the kids, but it went smoothly. We saw some fields of blue and some very pretty white poppy fields too.

Timmy calls some yellow ones black eyed Suzy-ans.

First we went to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center.He's ready with his magnifying glass and binoculars.

I enjoyed riding with Dad while he told me stories about summers at the lake as a kid when he'd bike down hills covered in bluebonnets and then eat the best peaches that don't ripen until August.

Picnic time

We ate dinner at a place that said it had the best chicken fried steak. Mom ordered it and said it was good. The cobbler was very bad. Timmy kept Heather busy playing spider hand.
