Patrick's Doctorate Work

Patrick decided to pursue his doctorate in education and was accepted to the doctoral program at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. It's a three year program. Over the summers they have gone on trips to see education systems at the state level in Austin and the federal level in Washington DC. Next summer they will be visiting Belgium. He attends classes in Belton every third Friday and Saturday, and in between reads and writes lots of papers. One of his papers was published in a journal. He's started work on his thesis which is about the AVID program, a program intended to help students attend college who may not have otherwise, that he worked with looking at longer term outcomes for students who went through the program.
